Album Update

We were not idle

As you could see in the backstage episodes, we were not idle and have now recorded everything except the drums. That means: All guitars, keys, synths, orchestras, background choirs & vocals are 100% ready!

All this has now been exported and sent to the ‘Kohlekeller Studio‘. From January 11th the drums are then recorded there. We calculate four to five days for this and we can’t wait to show you the first results in the form of singles releases.

We have already shot two music videos and two or three more are planned, because this album deserves to be presented visually, as every song is worthy of a single.

Waiting for the first mix

When the drums are in the can it means ‘waiting’ for us as a band. Waiting for the first mix. It’s always an unusual time for us, as we’ve spent every day over the past few years polishing the album. Suddenly there is nothing left to do in that regard. But that doesn’t mean that we are inactive: We’re working on the new live show and simultaneously on the promo for the album. After all, you want to see the artwork etc. at some point.

As soon as we have the mix from the album, it will be heard. We write down change requests and communicate them to the studio. If everything fits in the end, we will send the album to our label ‘Reaper Entertainment‘. And then the real promo starts:

  • Online portals such as Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon receive the album
  • Magazines are written to for advertising purposes
  • The album will be sent to the stores (which will hopefully be open again)
  • Music videos are published
  • Merchandise is being prepared
  • Various making-of videos are published
  • Various magazines get online access to the album for their reviews

You see: There is still a lot of work to be done. But all of it is fun and we’re just looking forward to providing you with good, new music!

Wir waren nicht untätig

Wir waren, wie ihr in den Backstage Folgen sehen konntet, nicht untätig und haben nun alles bis auf die Drums fertig aufgenommen. D.h.: Alle Gitarren, Keys, Synthies, Orchester, Backround Chöre & Gesang sind zu 100% fertig!

Das alles wurde nun exportiert, und ans “Kohlekeller Studio” geschickt. Ab dem 11.01. werden dann dort die Drums aufgenommen. Wir kalkulieren dafür vier bis fünf Tage ein und können es gar nicht abwarten euch die ersten Resultate in Form von Singles zu zeigen.

Zwei Musikvideos haben wir bereits abgedreht und zwei bis drei weitere sind in Planung. Wir sind der Meinung, dass es dieses Album verdient hat auch visuell präsentiert zu werden, da jeder Song einer Single würdig ist.

Auf den ersten Mix warten

Wenn die Drums im Kasten sind heißt es für uns als Band “Warten”. Warten auf den ersten Mix. Das ist für uns immer eine ungewöhnliche Zeit, da wir jeden Tag in den letzten Jahren damit verbracht haben am Album zu feilen. Plötzlich gibt es in der Hinsicht nichts mehr zu tun. Das heißt aber nicht, dass wir untätig sind: Wir arbeiten an der neuen Live Show und simultan an der Promo für’s Album. Ihr wollt ja schließlich auch irgendwann mal das Artwork etc. sehen.

Sobald wir den Mix vom Album haben, wird dieser gehört. Wir schreiben uns Änderungswünsche auf und teilen diese dem Studio mit. Wenn dann am Ende alles passt schicken wir das Album zu unserem Label “Reaper Entertainment“. Und dann geht die richtige Promo los:

  • Online Portale wie Spotify, Apple Music, und Amazon bekommen das Album zugeschickt
  • Magazine werden angeschrieben zwecks Werbung
  • Das Album wird den Läden (die dann hoffentlich wieder auf haben) zugeschickt
  • Musikvideos werden veröffentlicht
  • Merchandise wird vorbereitet
  • diverse Making Of – Videos werden veröffentlicht
  • diverse Magazine bekommen für ihre Reviews einen Onlinezugang zum Album

Ihr seht: Es steht noch viel Arbeit an. Aber alles davon macht Spaß und wir freuen uns einfach darauf euch mit guter, neuer Musik zu versorgen!
